Attorney John Bitetto of CMBG3 Law will speak on November 15, 2024 at the New Jersey Asbestos Litigation conference, which is hosted by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. John will co-present at 1:50pm on Rule 104 hearing developments in the state, focusing on the latest expert hearings in New Jersey on asbestos issues. John will co-present with plaintiffs’ counsel Olivia Kelly from the Simmons Hanley firm, for an engaging dialogue from both defense and plaintiffs’ perspectives.
John works on one of CMBG3’s National Coordinating Counsel teams for talc litigation. He previously worked on a National Coordinating Counsel defense team that oversaw national litigation for over 900 talc cases across jurisdictions nationwide. Additionally, he has managed a large caseload of local talc and asbestos cases from inception through the pre-trial process. He has extensive experience through these roles, including maintaining litigation reports, drafting discovery and responses, taking depositions, developing defense strategy, retaining and communicating with experts, drafting and arguing motions, preparing pre-trial exchanges, and assisting trial counsel. He was also a part of a small team that prepared and conducted New Jersey Rule 104 hearings for both plaintiff and defense experts in talc litigation, including experts for the following subject areas: geology and microscopy, industrial hygiene and toxicology, and medical causation.
