Carla C. Storm

Overview

Carla has over two decades of experience successfully representing clients in some of the nation’s busiest and toughest jurisdictions. Based near Madison County, Illinois and St. Louis City, Missouri, and licensed in both states, Carla has defended thousands of asbestos cases from inception through resolution. Representing clients ranging from small shops to global corporations, she has experience in every facet of litigation, from investigation and discovery to experts and trial or settlement. A skilled litigator, Carla has tried cases in both state and federal courts, and has negotiated hundreds of cases to favorable resolution. Building on her experience as local and regional counsel, Carla also represents clients on a national basis, coordinating and overseeing the defense of hundreds of complex toxic tort and personal injury lawsuits nationwide, and counseling on corporate risk management issues. With a deep familiarity with toxic tort litigation, including not only knowledge of the relevant science and law, but also experience and relationships with the courts and counsel, Carla is uniquely positioned to achieve great results for her clients on a local and national level.

Carla joined CMBG3 as a partner in 2023, having gained over sixteen years of experience in toxic tort defense at an AMLAW 500 law firm, where she was a partner and served as a founding member of the firm’s mentorship committee and as firm liaison for defense initiatives in Madison County. Carla enjoys building relationships with others and uses her excellent communication skills to achieve success for her clients, while maintaining positive relationships with other counsel and the courts. Recognized by her peers as achieving the highest level of professional excellence and ethical standing, she earned an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and was recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Rising Star for five straight years.

Carla is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law, where she received a Dean’s Scholarship and served as Vice President for the University’s Women Law Students’ Association. Her legal education includes study abroad at Università Ca' Foscari Venezia in Venice, Italy. In her spare time, Carla enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new places, whether just down the street or a plane ride away.
