Overview
David A. Goldman is a Shareholder at CMBG3 Law and is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. David has been involved in toxic tort litigation for close to 40 years, starting as a paralegal and continuing through law school and then as an attorney (a number of those years were on the plaintiff side). At CMBG3, David is the chair of the firm’s Rhode Island asbestos litigation practice where he represents companies of all sizes. Additionally, David advises clients with contract and business disputes. Due to his experience and successful outcomes in asbestos defense litigation, David is regularly asked to speak at toxic tort conferences across the nation. Most recently, in 2024 David chaired a panel that presented on Toxic Torts at the annual Rhode Island Bar Association.
David is also in demand by investors to consult with them concerning various areas of product liability litigation, including ethylene oxide, asbestos, and opioids. David provides his expertise to guide investors concerning the potential exposure various companies might have and where these areas of litigation appear to be headed.
Outside of the office, David answered the call sent by the Rhode Island District Court and volunteered his time during the Pandemic to represent indigent families on the verge of eviction. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Rhode Island program and regularly participates in CMBG3 Cares charity events.
His hobbies include backpacking (he helped build a hiking trail with the US Forest Service and Appalachian Mountain Club in Cordova, Alaska), reading all of the Sherlock Holmes books over and over again, and rooting for all of the Boston sports teams as well as the University of Michigan teams. He has been married for 25 years and has two daughters.
