February is Black History Month, and in years past, we have highlighted significant figures from Black history that were influential to advancing society in some way. This year, to help our team learn more about less recognized figures in Black history, we set up an internal channel in which educational materials are posted on more obscure Black history figures and their impact on American history. In this way, the CMBG3 DEI team hopes to educate our team on the purpose and origins of Black History Month, as well as learning that goes beyond traditional history textbooks.
