175 Fully Stocked Backpacks Donated For Back To School

Sep 15, 2020 | Community Involvement

At the end of August, numerous members of the CMBG3 team on both the East Coast and West Coast participated in a backpack drive for charity. The firm purchased 175 backpacks and all requested school items to go into each backpack that our two supported organization – School on Wheels in Massachusetts and Community Action Partnership Orange County – both of which fight to provide children in need or affected by homelessness with the necessary basics for their education.

Several volunteers from the firm delivered the supplies to other team members’ homes, and everyone virtually filled each backpack over Zoom during an office virtual event for these causes.  In total, thanks to the efforts of everyone who participated, 175 fully stocked backpacks were provided to these two wonderful organizations for immediate use by children as the school year begins again. In addition to the firm’s efforts, several CMBG3 team members made personal donations to these organizations, which raised the impact of the August drive to over 200 children in total.

Our partner at School on Wheels Massachusetts sent us this not upon learning that 120 of the backpacks would support their organization: “This is incredibly FANTASTIC news.  We are so very grateful!  120 backpacks-you made my day, my week and everything in between!  Thank you so very much on behalf of all of us at SOWMA and most importantly, all the children who are currently impacted by homelessness.  It is a very tough year for them and your support will mean so very much to them. “

CMBG3 is committed to supporting our community and giving back through out CMBG3 Cares program, an initiative that ensures that every month, our team members have a way to volunteer their time to our community or make a contribution in some way to those in need.  If you would like more information about our community and charitable giving programs, please contact John Gardella (jgardella@cmbg3.com) or visit the CMBG3 Cares page.
