Attorney Brendan Gaughan recently added to his impressive trial experience, as well as his experience representing clients in criminal matters, when he obtained a not guilty verdict for a client in an Operating Under the Influence (OUI) case.

The defendant was found passed out at the wheel while the car was running but stationary, and the defendant was awakened by police officers. Two officers testified at trial as to the defendant’s slurred speech, glassy eyes, unsteady gait and general intoxication.  One civilian witness also testified to the defendant’s slurred speech and unsteady gait. Attorney Gaughan successfully argued that his client was not under the influence of alcohol at or above legal limits and the jury returned a not guilty verdict the same day.
