Responsibilities:
- Accurately file documents with the court ahead of deadlines and knowledge of Pacer, File & Serve and Odyssey is a plus.
- Process third party and vendor invoices
- File, organize, scan, copy and fax legal documents and other mailings in a timely manner
- Assist with event coordination and in-house client meeting preparation
- Register attorneys for conferences, speaking engagements or webinars
- Maintain attorney bar information, accounts, payments, and applications
- Calendaring
- Schedule travel arrangements
- Prepare expense reports as requested
- Maintain Office and Kitchen cleanliness daily
- Daily Mail distribution
- Other responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience as an administrative legal assistant
- Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
- Working knowledge of database management software a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Must possess the following skills: Initiative, Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, Follow- through, Confidentiality, Dependability, Client Confidentiality
- Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines and follow up required
- Able to work as a team and in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work with attorneys as well as external clients at all levels
- Able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly.
