On March 26, 2021, the CMBG3 team was able to participate in a training session on engaging in courageous conversations with Jermaine Moore, founder of the Mars Hill Group. Mr. Moore has spent two decades working with companies of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies, on diversity initiatives.
The interactive session focused on educating the CMBG3 team on how to identify moments when engaging in courageous conversations is necessary, how to approach such conversations such that both sides are open to hearing the other’s perspectives, and how to accept that dialogue on difficult and sensitive subject matters may not always lead to minds changing, but they can always result in better understanding of different perspectives.
CMBG3 is thrilled to have a partnership with Mr. Moore, and is committed to having Mr. Moore have several dialogues with our team on various diversity, equity and inclusion topics. Our next session with Mr. Moore will focus on the topic of “antiracism.”
