Overview

W. Joseph Gunter is Trial Counsel at CMBG₃ Law. He is licensed to practice in California.

With over 25 years of litigation and trial experience, Joe has tried over 75 cases on behalf of his clients, often corporations and small businesses in high exposure complex product liability claims. While Joe enjoys the challenge of jury trials and has successfully tried cases to verdict, his expertise in efficient and effective case preparation, including vital and comprehensive preparation and defense of corporate witnesses, often leads to outright dismissals or favorable resolutions before trial. Joe is also a successful appellate attorney, recently winning a full reversal at the California Court of Appeal in Hart v. Keenan Properties, Inc. (2018).

In addition to his experience as a litigator, Joe has over ten years of experience managing litigation teams dedicated to defending clients in personal injury cases. He ensures that multiple cases are trial ready while working closely with clients, national counsel, and carriers to ensure that each case receives the best defense. He also serves as a mentor to younger associates in the Firm for best practices at trial and in case preparation.

Outside of the office, Joe enjoys rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, his beloved hometown team.
