FDA Selects CMBG3‘s Jennifer Carson as Speaker on Talc

Jeniffer Carson was chosen to speak before the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) at a public hearing to address “Testing Methods for Asbestos in Talc and Cosmetic Products Containing Talc.” The hearing took place on February 4, 2020. Mrs. Carson was selected by the FDA to speak at the hearing from a field of hundreds of talc attorneys, as she is a recognized expert on the subject of talc and asbestos contamination of talc. Mrs. Carson spoke before scientists, medical professionals, and lawmakers on the subject of the impact of regulatory decisions regarding talc on mass tort litigation, the need for proper education of the jury, and the need for consistency in testing methodologies. Mrs. Carson’s statements are now part of the official government record and will have an impact on the FDA’s ultimate decision regarding proper methodology for testing talc in cosmetics.
