CMBG3 Volunteers Time To Community For Holiday Season

Jan 2, 2024 | Community Involvement, News

In December 2023, the CMBG3 Cares program organized or supported two major events in the community that supported children in foster care and families in need of food during the holiday season.

In early December, CMBG3 team members participated in a holiday gift drive that supported children in foster care due to abuse or neglect of their caregivers. Each child created a wish list of two or three items, typically an article of clothing and two toys, and a CMBG3 team member sponsored a child and shopped for their wish list items. For the eight year in a row, every child’s wish list was fulfilled by our team members and the firm. This year, we were proud to be able to support 35 children, ranging in age from newborns to teenagers. Participating team members came together in the office (with our California team sending their gifts to Boston for collection by the Department of Children and Family Services) and wrapped the gifts for the children before they were delivered. A photo of the gifts that our team provided to children in the community is below:

On Christmas Day, Bryna Misiura volunteered her time to support the efforts of Bread of Life at the Malden High School. Bread of Life is an organization that serves communities north of Boston with the goal to feed those in need or who are homeless. Its Christmas Day event has now taken place for over 30 years! This year, the Christmas Day drive had over 100 volunteers and was able to deliver warm, freshly cooked meals to over 1350 individuals in the communities north of Boston. Volunteers cooked, packed, and delivered meals on Christmas day as well as many volunteers collected donations in the days leading up to the meal. Over 300 others were given warm meals on site by volunteers. In addition, many of the firm’s Administrative team volunteered time leading up to the event to take phone calls from people requesting meals, and helped keep the ever-important delivery list for Christmas Day.

CMBG3 is committed to supporting our community and giving back through out CMBG3 Cares program, an initiative that ensures that every month, our team members have a way to volunteer their time to our community or make a contribution in some way to those in need.
