Whitney K. Barrows

Overview

Whitney K. Barrows is a Partner at CMBG3 Law. She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and New York.

Whitney has over 15 years of experience as a litigator in complex toxic tort claims litigation and management, including specializations in asbestos and talc. Her experience ranges from representation of mom-and-pop sized companies to Fortune 100 companies. Whitney has worked as part of National Coordinating Council teams in the asbestos and talc litigations, as well as served as local counsel for companies in New England.

Whitney’s expertise and respect among her peers led to her being invited to join both the Massachusetts Executive Committee and Discovery Committee for the asbestos litigation. In these leadership positions, Whitney drives strategy and effectuates change for the Massachusetts asbestos litigation as a whole that shapes the way that the cases and the docket are managed and litigated. Whitney also served as part of the Defendants’ Liaison Counsel in Massachusetts for the asbestos litigation for many years, which put her at the forefront of significant, docket-wide issues.

Whitney is also involved with the Defense Research Institute; specifically, coordinating the Young Lawyers Breakout Sessions of the DRI’s Asbestos Medicine Seminar, for the last seven years.

Outside of the office, Whitney loves to travel and enjoys gardening and taking care of the numerous plants that adorn her house and yard.
