On Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 12:30pm until 1:30pm, Michaela Lancer and John Gardella will speak at a lunch event sponsored by the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association’s (MDLA) Toxic Torts Committee on the topic of glyphosate. The presentation is entitled “Glyphosate: Emerging Litigation Trend in MA and Beyond.” The event will take place at CMBG³’s Boston office (265 Franklin Street, 6th Floor) and light lunch and refreshments will be served.
Michaela and John’s presentation will examine several questions in the glyphosate litigation: What is glyphosate? Is the science clear-cut that it causes cancer in humans? What do regulatory bodies say about glyphosate exposure levels? How has all of this come together in the past year after the first jury verdict in California to expand the scope of claims that are being filed, and what are the possible “next waves” of the glyphosate litigation? How will all of this impact toxic torts cases in Massachusetts?
