CMBG³ Law Sends Over 5,000 Baby Products To Families and Care For Dozens of Displaced Pets In Wake of Hurricane Harvey

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey and the devastation that Texas suffered a few days ago, CMBG³ Law answered the call of those in need by sending over 5,000 baby products to Texas for distribution to emergency shelters, as well as by sending donations to a Texas animal rescue non-profit to provide food, water, shelter, and veterinary care for dozens of displaced pets.

Many members of the CMBG³ Law team made personal donations to both the Texas Diaper Bank and the Friends 4 Life organization as part of the firm’s initiative. CMBG³ Law matched each team member’s individual donations 100%, dollar-for-dollar, and, in addition, made contributions to each organization on behalf of the entire firm.

The Texas Diaper Bank is a nonprofit in Texas that collects diapers, wipes, and blankets for families in need during the year. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, families were forced to evacuate their homes and quickly discovered that the shelters and disaster relief encampments do not stock or supply infant care items. The families with young children were left with little or no basic necessities for their children. It was this gap in humanitarian care that the Texas Diaper Bank is working every day to fill for thousands of families in need for their children. The Texas Diaper Bank will receive over 4,400 baby products (diapers and wipes) from CMBG³ Law today and another 600+ items from contributions made by individuals of our team. These items will enable relief workers to provide:

• 1 child’s entire needs for over 200 days; OR
• 30 childrens’ needs for an entire week; OR
• 7 childrens’ needs for an entire month

In addition, individual team members and CMBG³ Law donated much needed funds to the Friends 4 Life organization, a no-kill shelter based in Houston that has been stationed at Houston’s Convention Center (which is serving as an emergency shelter) since the start of the storm assisting families with pets or pets that have lost their families. The donations will enable Friends 4 Life to provide food, water, shelter, and veterinary care for dozens of displaced pets.
