Join Us For the Mass. DLA Lunch On Opioid Epidemic

CMBG³ Law Shareholder Bryna Misiura, co-chair of the Toxic Torts Committee for the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (Mass. DLA), assisted with the organization of a brown bag lunch hosted by the Mass. DLA on the opioid epidemic. The lunch, to take place on April 11, 2018 at 12:30pm at Two Seaport Lane in Boston, will be held during the discussion entitled Opioid Epidemic: A Survey of Recent Developments in Massachusetts and Nationally. Eric Gold, Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General, Chief, Health Care Division, will take part in the conversation. Topics to be discussed at the luncheon will include:

  • The efforts of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office to address the opioid crisis;
  • Emerging concerns associated with patient brokering and addiction treatment fraud; and,
  • Recent developments affecting Massachusetts in MDL 2804 (National Prescription Opiate Litigation) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
