Overview
Elizabeth Carpenter is an Attorney at CMBG³ Law and is licensed to practice in California and New York. An experienced trial attorney, Elizabeth represents clients in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including product liability, toxic tort, asbestos and talc litigation, and insurance defense. She is passionate about representing her clients’ interests, working diligently to analyze case merits, minimize risk, and propel favorable resolutions to complex legal matters. Elizabeth has represented clients ranging from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 100 and Fortune Global 500 companies in a wide variety of circumstances, including pre-litigation conflict resolution, mediation, and trial.

B.J. v. G6 Hospitality (sex trafficking)
Successfully moved to dismiss Plaintiff’s complaint filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California pursuant to Rule 12(b)(6) on the grounds that Plaintiff failed to state a claim under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (“TVPRA”) in that Plaintiff could not plausibly allege that our client, a franchisee defendant, knew or should have known that it was renting rooms to individuals engaged in trafficking. -
Dennis Rockwell v. Air & Liquid Systems Corp., et al. (asbestos)
Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of two valve manufacturers in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The District Court’s granting of summary judgment was upheld on appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. -
Janet Carpenter v. 3M Company, et al. (asbestos)
Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of a valve manufacturer in the United States District Court for the Central District of California on the ground that Plaintiffs failed to adduce sufficient evidence to establish that client’s products were a substantial factor in causing the decedent’s death.
