Overview
Charity Martinez is an Attorney at CMBG³ Law. Her practice focuses on product liability and complex litigation. Charity brings experience managing cases through all stages of litigation, including discovery, legal research and writing, motion practice, settlement negotiations, court appearances, and client counseling.
In addition to her product liability practice, Charity has also represented affordable housing providers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area in litigation and other disputes arising within a highly regulated industry. In that role, she managed an active litigation caseload, regularly appeared in court, negotiated settlements, drafted motions and pleadings, and advised clients navigating overlapping federal, state, and local requirements. This experience strengthened Charity’s interest in solving complex problems at the intersection of people and institutions, particularly where legal and regulatory frameworks intersect with clients’ practical and operational needs.
During law school, she served as a Staff Editor for the Oregon Law Review, Co-Director of the Latinx Law Student Association, and Co-Director of the 2024 Public Interest Environmental Law Conference. She also served as a research assistant on an employment law publication. Through her internship work with Wildlands Network’s California program and Lane County, Charity gained experience researching and advising on employment, environmental, regulatory, and public-sector legal issues.
Before attending law school, Charity worked in corporate recruiting, where she recruited and sourced professionals across finance, accounting, legal, technology, sales, marketing, and other business functions. Her experience working with professionals and organizations across industries continues to inform her approach to client service, including an emphasis on clear communication, understanding clients’ broader objectives, and developing practical solutions to complex problems.
Outside of her practice, Charity enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, exploring creative pursuits, and spending time with her two cats.
