On August 6, 2020, an article written for Forbes cited Eric Robbie’s recent article regarding the HEALS Act. The Act was proposed to address liability issues for companies stemming from COVID-19 business reopenings, and Attorney Robbie’s prior thoughts on the Act were published by the prestigious National Law Review. Attorney Robbie’s article, entitled “First Look: Business Liability Protection In Senate Republican’s COVID-19 Relief Bill” examines recently introduced legislation that would afford companies of many types broad sweeping protections from liability in the event that employees returning to work contract COVID-19 or otherwise attempt to bring litigation for unsafe work conditions. Forbes picked up the article from the National Law Review and utilized it for a piece about the HEALS Act’s impact on the American’s with Disabilities Act.
The attorneys at CMBG3 Law will continue to monitor these evolving issues and evaluate what they might mean for your business. If you are seeking experts to help guide you on your liability protection plans, have any questions or would like more information, please contact Eric J. Robbie (email or 617-279-8209).
