John Bitetto

Overview

John Bitetto is an Attorney at CMBG3 Law and is licensed in New Jersey.

Attorney Bitetto works on one of CMBG3’s National Coordinating Counsel teams for talc litigation. He previously worked on a National Coordinating Counsel defense team that oversaw national litigation for over 900 talc cases across jurisdictions nationwide. Additionally, Attorney Bitetto has managed a large caseload of local talc and asbestos cases from inception through the pre-trial process. He has extensive experience through these roles, including maintaining litigation reports, drafting discovery and responses, taking depositions, developing defense strategy, retaining and communicating with experts, drafting and arguing motions, preparing pre-trial exchanges, and assisting trial counsel. Attorney Bitetto was also a part of a small team that prepared and conducted New Jersey Rule 104 hearings for both plaintiff and defense experts in talc litigation, including experts for the following subject areas: geology and microscopy, industrial hygiene and toxicology, and medical causation. Preparation for these hearings included assisting in the creation of direct examinations of experts and witness preparation for anticipated cross-examination, as well as the development of cross-examinations for opposing witnesses.

Prior to his work in toxic tort litigation, Attorney Bitetto served as a law clerk for The Honorable Bridget A. Stecher in the Law Division, Civil Part of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County. He also worked in the Seton Hall Law School Center for Social Justice’s Immigration Rights and International Human Rights Clinic, where he was awarded The Center of Social Justice Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Immigrants’ Rights and International Human Rights Clinic.
