Prestigious Property & Liability Resource Bureau’s National Claims Conference

CMBG3 Law Partner Brendan Gaughan will speak at the Property & Liability Resource Bureau’s (PLRB) National Claims Conference at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on:

  • March 27, 2017 from 10:30am – 11:30am in Room 313
  • March 28, 2017 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm in Room 207

Mr. Gaughan’s session, Wearable Technology: A New Tool in Claims Defense, will explore the topic of wearable technology and self-tracking devices such as Fitbits and smart watches, which collect and store personal data. The presentation will examine the ways in which such information can be preserved, discovered and used to verify and deny claims. Mr. Gaughan will also address the legal implications of tracking a user’s personal data, the admissibility of the data into evidence at trial, as well as ethical and privacy concerns.

The PLRB conference is the largest and most diverse educational conference in the claims industry and will address the claims handling process from every perspective, including technology, customer service, fraud and litigation.
