Responsibilities:
- Act independently on matters involving complex issues, including (but not limited to) drafting of pleadings, motions, and legal briefs, presenting witnesses, and conducting cross examination, and managing litigation-related tasks such as development of discovery requests, production of discovery responses, and development of witness testimony;
- Independently drive all assignments forward;
- Consistently demonstrate ability to make recommendations and critical case decisions that are based on sound judgment, thorough legal and factual analysis, and a nuanced understanding of the clients needs and wishes;
- Regularly engage with and negotiate with other parties, such as litigants, complainants, business competitors, co-defendants;

- Must adhere to firm policies and procedures, ensure accountability with those systems, and take initiative in developing and implementing new systems and procedures for daily management.
- Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and 7+ years of litigation or regulatory experience, admittance to bar and be in good standing in all jurisdictions;
- Must have experience in all stages of litigation including trial preparation and trial and appeals (though in-court trial experience or practice of appellate law not required)
- Must have mastery of the civil rules in the jurisdictions in which one practices, and expert understanding of all principles of law routinely relied upon in firm’s primary practice areas;
- Must be able to manage cases independently and able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines

Qualifications
- Asbestos litigation experience for 3-5 years is mandatory
- Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Requires admittance to at least one state bar - CA preferred
