Congratulations to CMBG3’s Brendan Gaughan on obtaining a defense verdict in a pro bono criminal court case involving a charge of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, which constitutes a felony in Massachusetts. Despite damaging evidence introduced by the District Attorney, Brendan was able to successfully persuade the jury that his client acted in self-defense. The jury deliberated for less than five minutes before returning a verdict of not guilty.
Brendan’s success reflects his and the firm’s attorneys’ ability to successfully take cases to verdict, regardless of the area of law. In addition, the decision to accept the case pro bono reflects CMBG3’s commitment to providing legal representation to those in the community who are in need of legal counsel. If you or anyone that you know would like to speak with us regarding how we may be able to represent you if you are facing legal issues, please do not hesitate to contact Brendan Gaughan (email him or 617-936-4353, ext. 205).
